G’day mates! I have traveled to various destinations including New Zealand, Indonesia, and Thailand. This time, I would like to share a 10-day travel plan to Indonesia on my blog, so that we can experience the unique charm of this archipelagic nation together!
Day 1: Arrival in Jakarta
- Upon arrival in the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta, proceed to the pre-booked hotel for check-in. We chose Ibis Jakarta Tamarin Hotel, located in the city center, with a nightly rate of approximately $50.
- In the afternoon, visit the famous National Monument (Monas) nearby.
- For dinner, taste Indonesian specialties such as Satay and Nasi Goreng (fried rice).
Day 2: Jakarta to Ubud (Bali)
- After breakfast, take a domestic flight to Denpasar Airport in Bali with a ticket price of around $100.
- Upon arrival, head to Ubud and check-in at Tegal Sari Hotel with a nightly rate of approximately $60.
- In the afternoon, visit Ubud Palace and Ubud Market to immerse in Bali’s art atmosphere.

Day 3: Ubud

Day 4: Ubud to Kuta
- After breakfast, head to Kuta in the southern part of Bali and check-in at Hard Rock Hotel Bali with a nightly rate of around $100.
- In the afternoon, enjoy the sun, sand, and waves at Kuta Beach.
- For dinner, try the local Jimbaran seafood feast.
Day 5: Kuta
- After breakfast, visit the famous Tanah Lot Temple and witness the mysterious Indonesian religious culture.
- In the afternoon, try surfing or relax on the beach, or visit a nearby water park and enjoy exciting water activities such as white water rafting.
- For dinner, taste Indonesian specialty Nasi Campur (mixed rice), which will introduce your taste buds to various Indonesian flavors.
- In the evening, feel the unique Bali music and cocktails in Kuta’s nightlife, and spend a happy night with locals.
Day 6: Kuta to Gili Trawangan
- After breakfast, take a fast boat to Gili Trawangan with a ticket price of around $60.
- Upon arrival, check-in at Scallywags Resort with a nightly rate of approximately $80.
- In the afternoon, bask in the sun, swim, and snorkel at nearby beaches.
- For dinner, taste Gili Trawangan’s special seafood.
Day 7: Gili Trawangan
- After breakfast, take a one-day diving course and learn basic diving skills with a course fee of around $150.
- In the afternoon, continue diving and explore the beautiful coral reefs and tropical fish.

Day 8: Gili Trawangan to Bali Zoo and Waterbom Park
- After breakfast, take a fast boat back to Bali.
- Upon arrival, visit Bali Zoo and Waterbom Park.
- In the evening, check-in at Kuta Paradiso Hotel with a nightly rate of around $80.
- For dinner, try a local Indonesian restaurant.
Day 9: Bali Zoo and Waterbom Park
- After breakfast, continue enjoying the Bali Zoo and Waterbom Park, watch animal performances, and indulge in water activities.
- In the Evening, try a local Indonesian restaurant for dinner.
Day 10: Kuta to Jakarta
- After breakfast, take a domestic flight back to Jakarta, with a ticket price of around $100.
- Upon arrival, explore the local shopping centers and pick up some souvenirs for family and friends.
- In the evening, take a return flight and end this unforgettable Indonesian journey.
When booking hotels, flights, and activities, I usually use online travel platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor. These platforms provide abundant information and deals to help us easily plan our trips.
Although I have outlined a detailed itinerary for Indonesia, in actual travel, I may fall into the rice fields, let the lazy monkeys steal my camera, or play crazily like a child in the water park. That’s the charm of travel- anything is possible!
